SubHUD

Intro

The Z&A Submission HUD (SubHUD) is part of the Z&A line of submissive/slave control devices that are designed around the idea of long-term use of RLV. The point and purpose of this HUD is that it gives easy and convenient access to many common RLV abilities while also adding some features that allow for long-term control -- especially ones that allow a dominant's control to be felt even when they are not nearby or online.

The SubHUD comes in two parts:

• A HUD for the dominant. This has copy and transfer permissions and can be handed out to as many people as you like. The HUD can then be used to control multiple subs/slaves who are using the SubHUD.
• A HUD for the sub/slave. This has copy and modify permission. This should be purchased by/for the submissive. Updates are provided free for life.

Aside from when selecting a sub/slave to lock (when you must be within 20m of them) a SubHUD can be controlled by a dominant's HUD as long as both avatars are anywhere in the same region.

Please note: The Z&A Submission HUD is not an RLV Relay and does not require the use of one.

Features

The SubHUD is broken down into a number of modules, these include:

#RLV

This gives access to RLV shared inventory folders, allowing the adding and removing of items found in there.

Curfew

The curfew module is designed to give simple but effective control of when the sub/slave can be active in-world.

Groups

The Groups module provides a method of allowing/denying the changing of the active group. It also provides a method of forcing a change of active group (the sub/slave obviously has to be a member of the group for it to become active).

Leash

The SubHUD leashing system is designed as a simple follow system with the emphasis on follow. It does, however, provide visible leashing with a particle leash when used in conjunction with a collar that supports LockGuard. A number of leash textures are built in and there is also the ability to set up to 9 of your own textures.

Regions

The regions module lets you control which types and which specific regions your sub/slave can visit. For example, if you have your sub/slave locked in a very adult outfit you may wish to ensure they don't stray into General or Moderate regions. This module can be used to enforce this.

Rename

The rename module provides a quick and simple method of renaming your sub/slave for the purposes of public chat and emoting.

Report

The report module provides a way of tracking when the sub/slave logs in to Second Life as well as tracking what regions they visit. Reports of logins and region changes can be delivered either by IM or email.

Restrict

The restrict module provides access to all of the common RLV restrictions that can be placed on a sub/slave. Support for Bento attachment points is also included.

Send To...

This module provides an easy method of sending your sub to a given location. The main method is to use the SLURL... option inside this menu. Select it, enter a SLURL into the box, and off they go. If you have some locations that you want to use a lot for them you can also use the bookmark system behind the "Bookmark..." option. In there you can store up to 9 SLURLs, with your own names for them. Once they're set sending them to those locations is as easy as "Send To... Bookmark... Bookmark choice".

Sit/Unsit

This module provides a simple method of force sitting (and unsitting) the wearer of the HUD. When sitting is selected a menu of the nearest scripted objects to the wearer (within 10m of them) will be shown. Select an object to force sit them on it.

Strip

This module provides a quick and easy method of removing items that the avatar is wearing. Optional support for "smart strip" is provided. Support for Bento atachment points is also included.

The Timer

The SubHUD has a built-in timer. The timer IS NOT used to unlock the HUD. It is, instead, used to set a timer on certain modules within the HUD. The timer affects the following modules:

• Leash
  When the timer runs down to 0 the victim will be unleashed from whatever or whoever they're leashed to.
• Groups
  When the timer runs down to 0 the victim will be allowed to change their active group again (if it was denied).
• Restrict
  When the timer runs down to 0 the victim will be released from the restrictions applied by the 'Restrict' module.

Admins

A sub/slave's HUD can be controlled by multiple admins. These are added to the sub/slave's HUD by the dominant. Once done just hand a copy of the dominant's HUD to the admin and they can have control too (without the ability to unlock).

Full control

The sub/slave can optionally grant full control of the SubHUD to their dominant. When granted this enables a transfer option, where the dominant can give the sub away to someone else.

Update history

The SubHUD comes with free updates for life. Since its release in 2013 the HUD has received various tweaks, changes, fixes and extra features. Here's a history of those releases:

  Added "Home" as an option in the "Send To" menu.
  Added "Here" as an option in the "Send To" menu.
  Added "Own HUDs" as an option in the touch restriction menu.
• 2017-10-22 - v1.10
  Improved the object-picking menu for the Sit module so that it's easier to read the list of possible target objects.
  Improved the object/avatar-picking menu for the Leash module so that it's easier to read the list of possible targets.
  The SubHUD now attempts to IM the dominant of the HUD is removed while locked.
  Added the group lock/change module.
  Added the concept of giving up "full control" (with the sub's consent).
  Added sub/slave transfer facility, that is only available when "full control" has been granted.

  Tweaked the leash/follow code so that the sub/slave's movements are a lot smoother on longer leash lengths.
  Updated the strip module so that attachment stripping now knows about Bento attachment points.
  Updated the restriction system so that attachment restrictions now know about Bento attachment points.
  Added a "Send To" module, that allows you to send the sub/slave to a given SLURL, and also allows you to set up bookmarks of SLURLs to quickly and easily send them to.

  Corrected the feedback text given when toggling IM reporting in the report module. It said off when on and on when off.

  Fixed a small bug in the region checking black/whitelist menu where pressing a blank button caused the menu to go away.
  Added a new option to the region checking module so that there is the option to check on any sort of region change or only check when TPing into or logging into a region. This lets you set up your sub/slave so they can't go to prohibited regions directly but they can safely pass through them.
  Tweaked the leashing code so that there's less chance of the particle chain being lost on relog.
  Added all HUD positions as attachment restrictions in the restrict module.
