Z&A Vehicle (6x6)

Today I'm releasing another vehicle "refit". Following on from last week's refit of the Quad Bike I'm sticking with something that has a bit of a outdoor/country feel and revamping the 6x6.

As well as using the new vehicle system (so including fewer scripts and using less memory) the 6x6 has had lots of tweaks to the texturing (making use of materials) and lighting (making use of projector lights). The cage on the back has been remade and there's now a second spot for another victim in a compartment up front. This means that the driver and the non-RLV passenger that get to use the main seat can carry two "victims" around with ease.

The vehicle itself is simple to drive and, as with all of the Z&A vehicles, is designed to be accessible with easy-to-use menu options and appropriate RLV options to keep the victim nice and secure for the duration of the ride.

For those who wish to make the vehicle available for public use on their region, there's a public rezzer version too:

As well as including the normal vehicle (there's no need to buy both if you want a personal vehicle and a public rezzer version) it also includes a rezzer object that will rez copies of the vehicle that anyone can drive -- with a full clean-up system that ensures your region doesn't fill up with unwanted 6x6s.

If you'd like to try the vehicle out, see what it looks like, see how it drives, etc, do feel free to pop down to the main store and head to the vehicle test area where you'll find a rezzer set up. As well as vendor boards in the main store you'll also find the vehicle and the rezzer for sale on the Second Life marketplace.

Z&A Vehicle (Quad Bike)

Today I'm releasing the second of the "refits" of the Z&A vehicle range. Still working on the theme of transporting captives (see the Transport Van, Delivery Van and Kidnap Van for other such recent releases) this is a quad bike. The vehicle sits a single driver and has a handy cage attached to the back.

A number of tweaks have taken place with this update. The obvious ones are that the vehicle now uses the newer vehicle system, which means there are fewer scripts involved and the script memory requirement is much lower. Attention has been paid to textures too, with the old blanket shine being done away with and materials being used where possible. The lights have also been redone to use projector lighting.

Raven Park Women in SciFi dance

Yesterday afternoon we gathered in the TARDIS high above Raven Park and had fun with the theme of "Women in SciFi". We enjoyed a touch over two hours of music by Miss Eve, and lots of natter about women in SciFi and SciFi in general.

There's an album of photos over on Google Photos. Here are some highlights:

Many thanks to everyone who came along and made the dance so much fun, and to Miss Eve for a great selection of tunes. See you all in a couple of weeks!

PS: Just to show that Raven Park is really progressive, accepting, and all kinds of fluid.... Anna and Toni went home in a fairly show-fluid way....

Raven Park dance this Saturday

This Saturday it's time for another Raven Park dance and, this time around, given the recent announcement of the new Doctor, we thought we'd have some fun with a pretty relevant topic:

Simple enough, yeah? Let's enjoy a SciFi theme again, while at the same time celebrating the female characters to be found there. We'd love it if you could dress up (or not -- it's never required) and come enjoy the musical selection of Miss Eve for a couple of hours.

Here's the details:

Date: Saturday July 22nd
Time: 3pm to 5pm SLT
Where: Raven Park
Music by: Eve Terr

Z&A Vehicle (Kidnap Van)

Today I'm releasing the first of the "refits" of my older line of RLV-enabled vehicles. Given that the previous two releases have been vans of some sort (the Transport Van and the Delivery Van) it seemed to make sense to revamp the original Z&A RLV van. The name has changed from simply "Van" to "Kidnap Van", best reflecting what it was designed for and fitting in with the naming of the other two vans.

A number of other tweaks and changes have taken place. As well as using the new vehicle system (so using far fewer scripts and so script memory) it's also been updated with nice new projector lights.

The lights can, of course, be turned on and off, because sometimes you'll be wanting to take your captive for a nice daytime drive.

While the headlights alone do cast plenty of light for when you do need to see what you're doing at night...

...the roof mounted floodlights can be turned on as well to give an extra boost:

The vehicle itself provides seating for a driver and three normal passengers. In the back there's a nice secure cage for a RLV-controlled "victim".

All in all I think it's a perfect vehicle for a bit of urban/kidnap role play.

For those who wish to make the vehicle available for public use on their region, there's a public rezzer version too:

Z&A Vehicle (Delivery Van)

This is another new release based on the new Z&A vehicle system. Designed as a variation on that previous release, this is a delivery van; less about the official transport of convicted prisoners and more about the movement of personal property.

The van has seating for a driver and a single non-RLV controlled passenger. It also contains three crates in the back, each of which can hold an RLV-controlled victim.

The crates themselves are designed to make the experience of being locked in the vehicle quite claustrophobic; the camera angles are set tight inside the crates and the victims will be initially forced into mouselook mode. Those inside the crates also get to "enjoy" a good range of RLV restrictions, all of which can be controlled by the passenger or driver.

The vehicle itself has projector lights and doors that open and close, all under the control of the driver or non-RLV-controlled passenger.

For those who might wish to make the vehicle available for public use on their region, there is a public rezzer version too:

I think it will be the perfect prop for any form of urban/kidnap role play.
