BDSM & Kink dance

Yesterday's Raven Park dance was, I think it has to be said, an easy theme for everyone. If there's one thing we all have in our inventories it's things BDSM and kink related. We all gathered in the Raven Park dungeon (well, one specially built for the occasion, complete with working RLV cells and other RLV toys from Night Wish Toys, Sunshine Technology and Z&A) and danced (where possible) to a wonderfully-themed set from Miss Eve.

As always I took a load of photos (and that's not all, see after the photos), all of which can be found over on imgur. Here's a few highlights:

But, like I said above, photos wasn't all that was taken. In the last week I've being experimenting with recording while in Second Life and, well, got a little carried away. So here's a few videos that show us all as actual moving entities! (please note that you might have to click through to view some of these, and some might even be blocked in certain countries, because of the music in the background):

While the actual chat that's always going on is still lost I think these show a nice extra dimension that photos can't. Expect videos to be a part of future Raven Park blog posts. ;)

Thank you to everyone who came along, and especially to Miss Eve for providing such great music. Hope to see you all in a couple of weeks!

Z&A Lifeguard Chair

This new release follows on rather nicely from the beach towels released earlier this month. As well as relating nicely to an earlier release it also nicely emphasises that safety is paramount, both at the beach and in BDSM. You can now keep your property "safe" while you keep everyone near the water safe with the Z&A Lifeguard Chair:

While a full Z&A RLV hold and display device it also has a seating spot (on the cushion on top) for the dominant. As they keep an eye on the water, looking for anyone in trouble, the sub can be kept in one of 10 different restrained or unrestrained poses:

The owner's setup menu allows for a choice of one of six different styles of wood and one of ten different fabrics for the cushion.

If you'd like to have a look at the new product and give it a try out you'll find it in the new product section of the main store and, of course, it's also available from the Second Life Marketplace. If you'd prefer a copy-permission version you'll also find that available in the main store.

Dance this Saturday

This Saturday it's time for another Raven Park dance. This week, partly because Antony's got a lot on his plate RL and SL and so could do with an "easy build", and also partly because Z&A are taking part in their first big fair starting Monday (mostly the cause of the SL busy thing), we thought we might do something we've not really done properly as a Raven Park dance...

We know it's probably a bit of a stretch for our target audience and that costumes might be difficult to come by but.... okay, fine, can't keep a straight face, enough of that. Come and show off your favourite BDSM/kink outfit, restraints, etc. Come show us your latest purchases, or your latest builds, or just come as you are and marvel at the sort of perves who turn up to Raven Park dances. And, of course, expect a wonderfully kinky set from Miss Eve.

Here's the details:

Date: Saturday May 30th
Time: 3pm to 5pm SLT
Where: Raven Park
Music by: Eve Terr

Z&A Region Info HUD

Some recent changes to Second Life have meant that scripts can get at some extra information about a region. As a result of trying these changes out a little handy thing was made. Given that it might be useful to others it's being made available to anyone who would like a copy:

Worn as a HUD it shows a mini version of the region's map as well as some hover text with some key information above it.

When touched it dumps more detailed information about the region into local chat:

Some of the information is displayed as clickable links that will take you to a browser. So, for example, the region software version number will take you to the relevant release notes on the Second Life Wiki (so you can see why a region got a restart during rolling restart day), the different map tile versions take you to different zoom views of the grid around the region, etc.

To get a copy simply drop in on the free product section of the main store, or grab it from Antony's Second Life marketplace.

Z&A Pipe Bed

New in the main store and on the Second Life marketplace is a simple metal-framed bed that's perfect for chaining your property to. It's the Z&A Pipe Bed:

As well as having all the usual features of a Z&A hold and display device it also has a collection of 10 different poses and animations, including some sleeps:

A simple lazing about:

Some well-restrained poses:

and, if the victim is lucky, a couple of ways to enjoy a little "light relief":

(the last two at least are likely best enjoyed completely naked).

The owner's setup menu also gives a choice of 4 different metal styles for the bed frame:

You can find this product in the new products section of the main store as well as on the Second Life marketplace. If you'd prefer a copy-permission version you'll also find that available in the main store.

Hammer Films dance

Yesterday afternoon's Raven Park dance was themed around the look and feel of the Hammer horror films. We all gathered in a temporary Raven Park crypt and had a horrifically fun time. You can find an album of photos over on imgur; here's a few highlights:

Many thanks to Miss Eve for a great set of themed music (and congratulations to Taffy for getting at least one song prediction right!), and to everyone who came along and joined in.
