Scottish dance

Yesterday we gathered in a hall above Raven Park to celebrate all things Scottish; partly as a "house warming" party for Antony given that he's now a Scottish resident and partly because we're close to St Andrew's Day.

You can find an album of photos from the dance over on imgur. Here's some highlights:

Thank you to Miss Eve for all the great tunes, and to everyone who came along and made it such fun. See you all in a couple of weeks time!

Raven Park dance this Saturday

This Saturday it's time for another Raven Park dance and, this time, we're going to get all Scottish.

Late November, especially this year, is a deeply important point in the Scottish calendar. An event is celebrated the world over, as well as in the country that makes up the northern part of mainland UK. There will be partying. There will be fireworks. There will be dancing and drinking and huge celebrations. In all respects, a day of national rejoicing and one that all nations can join in on.

We're speaking, of course, about the fact that the lure of a life with Anna has meant that the Antony Fairport has just become a resident of Scotland!

PS: Apparently it's also St Andrew's Day on the 30th.

As for the dance itself... here's all the details:

Date: Saturday November 26th
Time: 3pm to 5pm SLT

Z&A Caged Cage

While many Z&A cells are designed to have the look and feel of something very secure (not all, of course -- there's plenty designed to look the opposite of secure while still being secure), these tend not to leave the inmate very exposed. Thick concrete and heavy metal doors generally give your victim somewhere to be invisible, hidden from the world.

Today's release is designed to be extra secure while also very exposing. It's a cage within a cage which we're calling the "Caged Cage".

The outer cage works like a normal Z&A cell -- the door mechanism working as you'd expect. The inner cage has its own door menu so you can open and close the inner cage without needing to open the outer. Just the perfect thing if you want to ensure one inmate is nice and secure before loading up another.

The cell also comes with a stark-looking lamp, which can be used to highlight the inmate when it's dark around them. The menu for the lamp lets you keep the light on all the time, off all the time or only on when it's dark on the region.

The light itself is designed to make the best use of shadows (should you have them turned on).

The cell comes in both transfer and copy versions and can be found (and tested) in the main store, as well as on the Second Life Marketplace.

Many thanks to Anna for helping set this scene up.

No theme dance

Yesterday afternoon we gathered in the Raven Park Mansion for an easy couple of hours of listening to Miss Eve's excellent choice of tunes. Due to RL's demands on Miss Anna and Antony on the day (even resulting in them being a little late to the dance), there was no theme or special build; but fun was still had by all.

You can find an album of photos over on imgur. Here's some highlights:

Thank you to everyone who came along and joined in, and to Miss Eve for the great tunes and also taking care of getting the dance started. See you all in a couple of weeks, hopefully on time and with a theme! ;)

Raven Park dance this Saturday

This Saturday it's time for another Raven Park dance. However, RL will be rather busy for Miss Anna and Antony (to the point that we might be a little late getting along to it) so we're going to keep things nice and simple and relaxed and low-key.

In other words: we're having a nice easy no-theme dance.

So please do come and join us in the Raven Park Mansion for chat and Miss Eve's music. Here's the details:

Date: Saturday November 12th
Time: 3pm to 5pm SLT
Where: Raven Park

Z&A Bank Vault Cell

I've added a new cell to the main store and the Second Life Marketplace. This cell is designed to have the look and feel of a bank vault, complete with thick metal door, large hinges and a large handle on the front. Possibly the perfect place to keep your most valuable possessions when you don't need them to hand.

As well as the usual array of Z&A cell system features, it also allows the owner to select how light or dark they want the walls to appear. The wall textures themselves are, much like with the custody block and the concrete cage, designed to appear seamless when multiple copies are placed next to each other.

As is normal with many Z&A products, you can find this in both a transfer version and a copy version.

You can view and test the cell in the new products section of the main store, and you'll also find it available for sale on the Second Life Marketplace (just click the images above to be taken to the listings).
