All Change at Z&A

Regular readers will know that it's almost three months now since we moved our main store to Shackles. When we moved we made a point of using the same building for our main store. There were two reasons for this. The first was that we really like the building (a Woolman Sky-Store, if you're interested) and didn't want to change it without a good reason. The second was we were trying to do the move quickly so essentially copying everything as it was made life easier.

However... the store was getting a little "cosy". The more we built, the harder it was to fit things in. At our last location we didn't have much choice -- the store was about as big as we could fit on the plot -- but with the move to Shackles we had more space so we could use a bigger build.

So, a few weeks back, we (Zardia and Antony) finally decided that it was time to replace the shop. We looked all over for something that would work, would fit, would be the right sort of size and would "feel" right for us. We looked at some great builds but none of them were quite right. That was when Miss Vila got her build belt on. Fast forward to today and the "Under Construction" sign went out:

A little later, there was lots of floating stock and no shop:

We then rezzed the new build in place and set to work moving all the stock into its new positions.

At this point we should note that those dommes and doms who like to drag their subs and slaves around on a leash might like to note that we now have stairs! No more battling with the lift system while unleashing your sub.

After a couple of hours work, we had everything in place. There's still some tweaking to do, we might still move things around, you might catch us throwing prims around if you come visit in the next few days. But, we're happy to announce, Z&A Productions have a new shop. A bigger shop. A shop that'll let us carry on growing.

So, please do come visit. We'd love to know what you think.

PS: Sharp-eyed readers will now know what this was all about.

A Reminder About the International Women's Day Events

Just a quick reminder about this weekend's Femdom Community in SL events for International Women's Day. As you'll see from their blog, the details are now up, and it's probably a good idea to keep an eye on the blog to know what's happening as events unfold this weekend.

Also, don't forget that Z&A Productions are offering a raffle prize there. If you fancy a chance of winning a whole range of Z&A toys you should pop over there and buy a ticket or two.

On top of that, we are now also sponsoring a couple of display boards there:

As you can see, one is for Z&A and the other is to help promote The Femdom Hunt.

Two new products in the main store

Z&A Productions are delighted to announce that we've released two new products to our main store.

The first is the Z&A Anti-Cam:

This is an updated and improved version of the group gift from last November. If you liked that version you'll love this one. Whereas before the victim was punished with loss of sight, this time they're punished with increasingly blurred vision that gets worse the further they cam.

It comes highly recommended by Antony's Mistress.

Second is the Z&A Leather Hood and Catsuit:

This is a greatly improved and updated version of the hunt gift we recently made for the BDSM hunt. We had some great feedback on that gift, especially from Vacy Mondalimare (thanks Vacy, your input was invaluable), and we listened, learned and, as much as possible, implemented.

We're really rather plased with how it turned out. Here are a few more detailed shots of the hood itself:

And here's a back view of the catsuit:

Note that the cuffs aren't included, they're just the ones that Miss Vila keeps her boy constantly locked in. And also note that there's a hint of Antony's collar in the shot too. As you can imagine, he never takes that off, ever, so it happens to show a little.

Supporting International Women's Day

This weekend the Femdom Community in SL are running a series of events to celebrate International Women's Day. Amongst the planned events there is to be a raffle and we were invited to provide a prize. We, of course, said yes.

Our prize is a whole set of our "Black and Chrome" range:

If you'd like to have a look at these items in person, just pop over to our main store. You'll find most of them on the first floor, with a handful on the ground floor on the "new" display.

If the last FCiSL event is anything to go by the raffle will be well worth entering as, last time, there were lots of great prizes. Also, the money raised goes to a very specific charity (see below).

For those who might want to attend, here's the content of the notecard about this weekend as sent out from the FCiSL (note that the details here could change so do keep a close eye on the FCiSL blog and follow their group in-world).

Just Two Weeks Left to Apply to Join the Hunt

It's been a month now since we announced that The Femdom Hunt was open for applications and the response has been fantastic. Despite the fact that we announced the hunt earlier than most (given that this is the first hunt we've ever organised, and given that we were hoping to pull in some vendors and sims who haven't taken part in grid-wide hunts before, we wanted to give everyone plenty of time to get organised) we've had a great response.

As of the time of writing we have 44 locations who have applied. Around ¼ of them are Femdom sims (big and small) and ¾ of them are stores of all kinds. And we still have people asking for application forms.

If you're thinking of applying, or know of a vendor or sim who you think should apply, now's the time to do it or to hassle your favourite vendor. Applications close on the 14th of this month. Remember, you don't have to know what your build will be when you apply, so don't let that hold you back. Feel free to apply and then decide what to make for the hunt.

If you'd like an application form you can find one inside any of the hunt boards that are now going on display around the grid:

You can also find a copy on this blog. Or, if you wish, you can drop a line to Zardia Avindar or Antony Fairport, in world, and we'll send you a copy back.

Goodbye Stonehaven

Although it didn't get a mention when we wrote about the history of Z&A, back in December, when the main store moved to Shackles, the sim known as Stonehaven Island has played a pretty important part in our history.

We've had a booth in the mall at Stonehaven almost as long as Z&A has existed. We can't exactly recall when we opened up there, but it was around the time of the second main store, before we knew we'd be losing that. The booth was originally in the mall in the sky, and we followed the mall down under the cage room when Dirk decided to move it.

So it was with some sadness that, today, we moved out of the mall:

The reason for the move is that Stonehaven is leaving Second Life. The reason for closing our presence there today is that the rent was due for renewal today. Given that the sim is winding down, heading towards the closing day, we decided to not renew this time.

We'd like to take this opportunity to wish Dirk well and thank him for providing a sim that was central to the very early history of Z&A. Stonehaven Village (to the north, also to close) is where Antony first lived and where he first experimented with scripting RLV. Stonehaven Island is also where he met Miss Vila, on the famous bridge there:

Goodbye Stonehaven. We hope you have lots of fun at your new home.

Because of this, and other recent changes in our locations, we've updated the location list page on our main website. And, as always, if you know of a good mall location that you think might be a good fit for us, please don't hesitate to drop either of us a line about it.
