Z&A Vehicle (Transport Van)

Over the years I've made a point of re-working and refreshing various product ranges. This process has happened with the core RLV furniture, the restraints and also the cells. All that was left to revisit was the RLV vehicles. In the past month this process has started to happen.

Rather than remake all of the vehicles in one go I decided I'd make a single new one to try out all the little changes I was making and, then, as time goes on, each of the older vehicles will get its own refresh and upgrade (existing customers will get updates).

One main wish drove the redevelopment of the vehicle system: a desire to be able to produce vehicles that have multiple RLV-controlled seats. Simply put: it'd be fun and cool to be able to lock a handful of people on a vehicle and cart them around. Today I'm releasing the first vehicle that uses the new script engine and which also uses this new ability to the full:

The Prisoner Transport Van allows for a driver and non-RLV controlled passenger, and up to six RLV-controlled prisoners in a cell area in the back.

A good range of RLV restrictions are provided, including options such as controlling the ability to interact with IMs, interact with the world around them, access inventory and even optionally speak.

The vehicle itself has projector-based headlights and opening/closing doors.

For those who might wish to make the vehicle available for public use on their region, there is a public rezzer version too:

As well as including the normal vehicle (there's no need to buy both if you want a personal vehicle and a public rezzer version) it also includes a rezzer object that will rez copies of the vehicle that anyone can drive -- with a full clean-up system that ensures your region doesn't fill up with unwanted transport vans.

I think it will be the perfect prop for any form of prison or custody role play.

Pose for illustration purposes only; it isn't part of the vehicle.

If you'd like to try the vehicle out, see what it looks like, see how it drives, etc, do feel free to pop down to the main store and head to the vehicle test area where you'll find a rezzer set up. As well as vendor boards in the main store you'll also find the vehicle and the rezzer for sale on the Second Life marketplace.

PS: For anyone wondering what the prison suit is that I'm wearing in the pictures, it's one of the range of convict jumpsuits made by Anna. There's also a dress version for anyone who might have a need for that.

Raven Park no theme dance

Yesterday afternoon we gathered in the Mansion ballroom to have a dance and a natter and to listen to a couple of hours of tunes selected by Miss Eve. Much fun was had (a large part of it being people recommending items to look at in the Steam sale because.... STEAM SALE!) and you can find a collection of photos from the event over on Google Photos.

Here's some highlights:

Many thanks to everyone who came along, and to Miss Eve for a wonderful musical selection. See you all in a couple of weeks!

Raven Park dance this Saturday

This Saturday it's Raven Park dance time again. We've had a good run of themed dances recently so, for the first time in a while, we're going to relax, take it easy, and have a nice simple no-theme dance.

Come join us in the Mansion ballroom for a couple of hours of fun and music, and wear what the hell you like (or what you're told, or nothing, or...). All that matters is you turn up and have fun.

Here's the details:

Date: Saturday June 24th

Raven Park gaming dance

Yesterday afternoon we gathered inside a computer, inside a computer, high above Raven Park, and geeked out about computer games while enjoying Miss Eve's perfect selection of music (and also while comparing the sizes of our Steam libraries). You can find an album of photos of the gathering over on Google Photos. Here's some highlights:

Many thanks to everyone who came along and made the dance such fun, and to Miss Eve for the wonderful music. See you all in a couple of weeks time!

Raven Park dance this Saturday

This Saturday it's time for another Raven Park dance and, this time, we're going to get a little "meta" in that we're going to celebrate all things related to computer games.... in a "computer game".

So come join us for a couple of hours of the best of Miss Eve's themed musical choices, and doubtless plenty of nerding out over games of old, and more recent times. Ideally, throw on something that celebrates your favourite games characters; or just come as you are, we're happy either way.

Here's the details:

Date: Saturday June 10th
Time: 3pm to 5pm SLT

The Velvet Thorn Medieval Dungeon

Much like The Doctor in Doctor Who, every now and again The Velvet Thorn regenerates. For the first time in quite a while the region has undergone one such regeneration. Gone is the steampunk-themed flying boat, replaced with a pretty village-feel (one might even say village-feel) build down on the ground.

The new VT now has people landing at a brand new mall in the sky; here you'll find Z&A's new shop on the region:

Hidden in the caverns of this build, down on the ground, is a medieval dungeon which was kitted out by Miss Eve and which contains a number of "tools" that have been donated by Z&A. Miss Anna and I went on a bit of a tour this weekend and took some photos of what we found.

If dark and gloomy dungeons are your thing, do feel free to do as Mistress did and grab a supply of Z&A Spankers and pop over and torment your "poor" victim. Or, of course, head over to the Z&A shop in the VT mall, or the Z&A Main Store, and kit our your own dungeon with all sorts of RLV furniture. ;)
